Who is your favourite member of the Fellowship?
I grouped Merry & Pippin together due to only 8 options allowed for polls. If Merry is your favourite then click Merry & Pippin and then explain your choice - the same goes for Pippin.
Please take a few minutes to also explain why you picked whom you did.

I picked SAM. He is the most loyal person/hobbit I have ever heard about. He helped Frodo even though he knew it meant he would probably not get home again. He also was pretty smart. He understood the importance of destroying the Ring and finishing the quest.
I could just go on and on about SAM.

Well.... Unfortunally (or not), Faramir is not in the Fellowship! So, I have to pick other character! Then, I choosed Samwise too! It's my second favorite character! One of the bests... i mean...he is a Hero! Well, almost every characters are heros but Sam is one of the most importants! He is very friendly to Frodo....and loyal too! And very..very....inteligent... ![;)](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Hannah22/Fourm/wink.gif)

I choose the one, the only, Olorin....aka Mithrandir, better known as Gandalf.
Why, you may ask. Many reasons to tell you the truth, though I only explain a few of them:
1) Without ol' Storm-crow, the Fellowship would never have done much of anything besides be destroyed in Moria, if they got that far.
2) Olorin is the only Istari that remained faithful to his 'mission'
3) Courage, bravery, wisdom, mercy, and gentleness are only a few of his character aspects that have drawn me to him.
4) He is an Istari....gotta stick with the race

Well, he's my favorite character all round, so he's my favorite fellowship member as well. Boromir the tall, that is.

why do you say sam is so intelligent? He seems pretty average to me in that department.

Radagast, I think you were referring to my post about Sam. I think Sam was pretty smart in interpreting and understanding people. He had an intution. He may not have had the warrior sense but he knew nature. Just my thoughts about SAM. ![:D](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Hannah22/Fourm/grin.gif)

Gollum is one I can think of. Aragorn another. Sam was not one to blindly trust. He would feel them out. And don't forget after the Battle of Bywater - cleaning up the Shire and becoming the mayor. Remember smart and intelligence do not have the same definition. ![;)](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Hannah22/Fourm/wink.gif)

Tom Bombadil is my favorite, but he is not in the poll. Shame on you.

it doesn't matter. bombadil didn't really do anything that helped the fellowship. he wasn't in the fellowship either.
