I think I would like to live in Australia. I've always had a bit of fascination with it. Although I would come home for Christmas in the snow.

This might sound dumb, but I'd live in California, cause I really really miss it there. ![:'(](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Hannah22/Fourm/weep.gif) Either that or Florida..or the Caribbean. <3

I really love the scenery where I live (right where the mountains meet the Great Plains), especially now that the weather's getting cloudier and morning drives to school include a perfect view of the mist hanging over the foothills and at the end of the valley I live near. But the cultural climate isn't quite so nice: almost everyone in my town is a Republican (I don't mind Republicans, just not so many of them in comparison to the liberals), not a fantastic arts scene (though it's improving), and a huge issue with urban sprawl. So... I had to go with four other places I'd want to live:
1. Ireland- I have Irish roots, and am currently learning more about my heritage. I feel like I have a very deep connection with the Irish land and people, and from the photographs of the trip my family took there when I was 7, it's an incredibly beautiful country. I don't mind rain very much, but maybe I would if I had to live with it more often. I don't know very much about the regional differences, but County Clare seems to have extraordinary scenery.
2. Venice, Italy- I travelled here two summers ago, and it is one of the most amazing cities I've ever been in. It feels like an entirely separate world. And it has such a rich history... definitely one of my favorite places on earth.
3. Somewhere in British Columbia- From what I can tell, Canada has a much more... friendly feel than the United States. I don't know exactly what it is, but I feel much more comfortable in Canada. I love Vancouver, though I have something of an aversion to large cities. But Vancouver is so diverse and artsy- two things I really appreciate in a city.
4. Concord, Massachussetts- I've become very interested in the Transcendentalist movement recently, and Concord was basically the center of that movement. I haven't been to Walden Pond since I was very small, and, now that I'm a Thoreau fan, I would like to pay another visit. I also love the town's peaceful atmosphere and long history (the American Revolutionary War began there, after all-- though to our Europeans, I'm sure two hundred-odd years does not qualify as a long history). My top college, Wellesley College, is less than ten miles from Concord, so I hope that I'll have more opportunities to visit Concord in the near future!
Ah, so there you are. Now, don't tell me you actually read all that... my, my--- you must really be tenacious.

Hmmm... Good question. I'd love to see Venice, Paris, New Zeland, Rio de Janeiro, USA, UK, Netherland, Egypt, Russia and lots and lots of other places, but if I have to stay somewhere for the rest of my life, I would choose a cottage in the Japan nature.

Other than in the Halls of Mandos?
Hm.. Greece, London, or Rome would be my top three choices.

Venice! Without a doubt, Venice! The beautiful floating city. It has such a colorful history and culture. I've sadly never been there, but I've read a lot about it and my brother, who has been there, says it's amazing.
