Where in Middle-earth are we?" Someone posts a 'quote' from Tolkien's work (let's stick with the main 3 - The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings) which describes a place (landmarks, buildings, statues, anything as long as it's a place in ME). Whoever answers correctly asks the next question. Fairly simple and quite fun! An example: "It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel..." Answer - Bag End This is a quote from the Hobbit. You wouldn't have to give which of Tolkien's books the quote comes from, unless of course if a hint was needed . Have fun! ;D

Here's the first one by Lomadia:
The path was visible in the dusk, a deep rut worn in ages of passage, running now gently up in a long trough with cliffs on either side. The trough narrowed rapidly.

Is this where Sam and Frodo are walking after they have left the Fellowship.

ok ( i suppose u could also say it was the path towards the tower of cirith ungol.) - in the interests of moving on - since i know this to be correct, as i passed that bit in the book the other day - i'll ask an easy one...
........and beyond, going steeply down, was a road between sheer cliffs, knife-edged against the sky far above. So deep and narrow was that chasm that the sky was dark, and in it small stars glinted. Yet as Gimli after learned it was still two hours ere the sunset of the day......
