...a great stone of clear green, set in a silver brooch that was wrought in the likeness of an eagle with outstretched wings...flashed like the sun shining through the leaves of spring. -----FOTR
When I looked at the movie (esp. extended version) i saw that the parts dealing with the elessar greatly contradict Tolkien. The "movie elfstone" was completely white and looked like (to me) and miniature angel. Plus it wasn't a brooch nor did it look like the sun's light was inside it. In the movie, Arwen gave it to Aragorn when actually Galadriel gave it and fulfilled Gandalf's prophesy of naming Aragorn Elessar. If Celebrimbor (or Enerdhil) were real, they'd probably have a fit seeing they're delicate labor depicted wrongly.

I looked at The Evenstar Pendant closer and found it looked like a flower with some kind of silver ribbon handing from it. In the extended edition of FotR, Galadriel said to Aragorn that she could not give him any gift and the pendant given by Arwen to him would serve as one. I was very curious about why the producers did that and why not make it like the above description...
