What was yours?
Mine was the sceen where the ringwraiths are chasing Arwen across the plains, Even though it wasn't true to the book the visual work with the camera angles and music just made for an incredible scene. I also love the part where the Dark Riders are released from Minas Morgul, that one shot was excellent!

Excellent choices, WitchKing, I also loved those scenes! ![;)](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Hannah22/Fourm/wink.gif)
I also loved the Prologue to FOTR, the Nazgul on Weathertop, the King of the Golden Hall (also my favorite chapter) from TTT, and the scene in ROTK with the spirits! ;D

The opening scene of TTT gave me serious shivers down the spine. The free-fall fight between Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog. The music, the special FX, I just thought it was a shame that PJ scrapped the ‘slimy’ Balrog concept. I saw some of the sketches and I think it would have worked.

so many ..lets see:
prologue battle (FOTR)(great effects and pretty accurate not just to lotr but to tolkiens other works)
Gandalf and Saruman (FOTR)- (great fight although only hinted at in the books- love the way saruman whips gandalfs staff from his hands --- also have to mention the bit before when they're talking and saruman /chris lee gets the great line "you know of what i speak, a great eye, lidless, wreathed in flame! - i love the way he says that! - o and also the way he has that barely concealed grin on his face as he "magics" all the doors shut in front of gandalf!)
gandalf & balrog/grief scene afterwards(FOTR) ( just love the confusion and disbelief after gandalf falls - and the way the arrows wizz pass almost unheeded by the company as they are so taken aback)
boromirs last stand (FOTR)(great emotional scene)
last march of the ents(TT) (stirring music as the ents march out of the forest)
charge of the rohirrim (rotk) (ride now! ride now! ride for ruin.. and the worlds ending! - or whatever he says- got me quite emotional in the cinema!)
there is alot more, i could go on for ever - im sure theres more stuff with gandalf i could cite-
o yes - "foundations of stone" opening sequence of TT with G & balrog - best opening sequence ever!
i really don't know which out of these i would say as my favourite - i suppose if i had to choose i'd think i'd have to say the charge of the rohirrim.

One of my many favourite scenes would have to be when the hobbits met Strider. I really like how the scene played out.
And I also like the Black Riders and how mysterious and scary they were at the beginning, exactly how I pictured them.

Oh yes! the wizards fighting scene! I can't believe I left that one out, and excellently played and scoped scene, but of course, with Cristopher Lee and Ian Mcellen both playing it, how could it not be perfect? Another of my favorite scenes was the one where Gandalf is sitting on the top of Sarumans tower and the moth flys down to him, that with the music and the camera drop afterwards made an awesome sight!
I also liked the way they handled Boromirs last stand, it was true to the book unlike his character in the movie, I think PJ did a wonderful job making the audiences forgive him for his crime because of his bravery and valor. I must say that was my favorite scene in the book FOTR also.
