Just curious here, seeing as I'm not AS obsessed as others here and I don't memorize things very well (nor do I spell well).
Anyway I always enjoy reading different quotes from the book or the movie that help to make one remember something, or explain something.
Thanks,

Here are some of my favorites:
Elrond raised his eyes and looked at him......... "This is the hour of the Shire-folk, when they arise from their quiet fields, to shake the towers and counsels of the Great. Who of all the Wise could have foreseen it?"
"Speak no evil of the Lady Galadriel!" said Aragorn sternly. "You know not what you say. There is in her and in this land, no evil, unless a man bring it hither himself. Then let him beware!
"I pass the test," she said. "I will diminish, and go into the West and remain Galadriel"
The cold hard lands they bites our hands, they gnaws our feet. Thd rocks and stones are like old bones all bare of meat. But stream and pool is wet and cool: so nice for our feet! And now we wish---
Alive without breath; as cold as death; never thirsting, ever drinking; clad in mail, never clinking. Drowns on dry land, thinks an island is a mountain; thinks a fountain is a puff of air. So sleek, so fair! What a joy to meet! We only wish to catch a fish, so juicy-sweet!
"Ash nazg durbatulúk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul." The change in the wizard's voice was astounding. Suddenly it became menacing, powerful, harsh as stone. A shadow seemed to pass over the high sun, and the porch for a moment grew dark. All trembled, and the Elves stopped their ears. "Never before has any voice dared to utter the words of that tongue in Imladris, Gandalf the Grey," said Elrond, as the shadow passed and the company breathed once more. "And let us hope that none will ever speak it here again," answered Gandalf.
"No, but my heart would. For it seems less evil to counsel another man to break troth than to do so oneself, especially if one sees a friend bound unwitting to his own harm. But no -- if he will go with you, you must now endure him." ~Faramir
"She should not die, so fair, so desperate! At least she should not die alone, unaided." ~Merry
"Much must be risked in war," said Denethor. "Cair Andros is manned, and no more can be sent so far. Yet I will not yield the River and the Pelennor unfought, not if there is a captain here who has still the courage to do his lord's will." Then all were silent, but at length Faramir said: "I do not oppose your will, sire. Since you are robbed of Boromir, I will go, and do what I can in his stead - if you command it." "I do so," said Denethor. "Then farewell!" said Faramir. "But if I should return, think better of me!" "That depends on the manner of your return!" said Denethor.
"Though here at journey's end I lie in darkness buried deep, beyond all towers strong and high, beyond all mountains steep, above all shadows rides the Sun and Stars forever dwell: I will not say the Day is done, nor bid the Stars farewell." ~Sam
"They cannot conquer forever!" said Frodo. And then suddenly the brief glimpse was gone. The Sun dipped and vanished, and as if at the shuttering of a lamp, black night fell.
Those are only a few...

I like many many many quotes from LotR... But here's one simple and brilliant:
"For Frodo!"
