"Well," said Elrond. "This is indead news. This is another thing that this counsil must address. I would like to learn more, and I have questions I would like to put to you. But we must deal with the first problem before we can come to the second. If you will have a seat," and he motioned to a seat, "This issue will be brought up later. Now," he said turnging back to Elemmire, "Did you come here to seek help or counsil? Do you have a plan you would like us to help you carry out, or do you need us to make one for you?"

"I seek both help and council. I have a plan, but need to work out the details. I need help in that I can not do it alone. I would like to travel back to my country and confront my father in his deeds. The journey is long and harsh. I must either compromise with him or overthrough him. I will need someone who knows the ways of the land and someone to supple food. They must be able to wield a sword and use a bow. This must be done soon, for I feel that the Ring is closer and closer to Mordor as the days go by," Elemmire looked around as she spoke. " Who will help me?"...

"I will!" In one swift motion, Haerodiel pulled off her hood, stood up, and stepped forward. Her heart began to beat hard as she recieved first shocked looks, then glares of irritation. As Elrond looked at her she could tell that he was quite annoyed "You?" he said questioningly. "You have never been outside of Rivendell, you have neither training in sword nor bow, and you expect to go? You might be able to supply food, though. You of course can cook, do you know how to find food in the wild?" Haerodiel's face brightened up. "Yes, that I do. That I have studied that much." Elrond then turned back to Elemmire. "Well, it's up to you," he said. "Do you want her?" “I am a ranger.” Walsingham said as he walked forward with a bow to Elrond.
“There are few who can find a path where I cannot. I can wield a sword and draw a bow when the occasion calls for it and I request only one thing in return for my assistance. My sword is as fine a piece of work that may be found in Gondor and can stand up to anything. That is, anything but the foulest of dark creatures… If I am to be of any use to you, I will require a sword of elven steel, of an elven name to drive into the heart of darkness. I have been in search of one of the ancient swords of the Dúnedain for some time, but to no avail. With either one of these, I will fight as I have desired since I was overwhelmed by one of the creatures of shadow.”

Elemmire smiled at her to companions. "I accept your offer. I am very pleased that you would join me in this journey. I would like to say that if anyone else cares to join us, you may."
Elrond smiled also, "I am pleased with your enthusiasm in joining Elemmire. My your journey be swift and safe!"
With that the three got up and departed from the council, leaving Elrond to speak with Halaheru and Lomadia.
