No not a sword .....
Clue : For the word point in this riddle think of weapons rather than a point of view or order .
as in an arrowhead has a point , a sword has a point . they are generally sharp and well made .
does that make it any clearer ? or am I still baffling you ?

To recap , it is not :
A Mountain The Three Elven Rings A sword .
Clues so far :
The Three Elven Rings ( and this goes for sword as well )
Now another clue to lead you to the answer notice the word made in the clue above and consider an emphasis on make a point in the riddle .

Okay first thing to pop into my head was "finger". Although I don't think that follows along with all the clues.
Created to make a point. hmmmm Still thinking.

Not exactly created to make a point ,
More created/made(or create/ make) into a point , from something that is blunt , so with swords and arrows that would make use of metal .

When not making a point , I could very well be making shoes .

How about a blacksmith?
Earth = coal/coke Air = a bellows Fire = the forge Water = for quenching
a blacksmith makes tools and weapons with points as well as the pointless horseshoes.

It looks like Lomadia is busy , so here is another to keep the riddling going .
A horse is tied to a five meter rope in front of an old saloon. Six meters behind the horse is a bale of hay. Without breaking his rope, the horse is able to eat the hay whenever he chooses. How is this possible?

Is the horse stood say, a meter or two infront of the thing to which its tied at the start of the riddle???
slightly weak, i know.
Or ooo! the riddle says that the horse is tied to the rope, but it says nothing about the rope being tied to anything else, just that its located infront of a saloon...
could the horse just trot to the foody goodness dragging the rope in its wake??
