What do the wizard colours mean? There is Gandalf the Grey/White, Saruman the White/Many Colours, Radagast the Brown, and then two other Blue Wizards.
I'm just trying to figure them all out. Thanks for any help.

I can only guess at the moment, for I am in the middle of researching the question. My guess so far would be that the colors have to do with which Valar sent them, and power....perhaps.
Sorry that I do not have an in debth answer at the moment, but I figured I would share my thoughts.

gandalf is gray because hes a pilgrim always wandering, never stays in one spot, so no black or white. saruman is white because he's pure. radagast is brown because it's a natural color

I know that Saruman eventually became Saruman the Multi-Colored or whatever, but I never remembered reading it, only hearing it from friends who read it. What chapter is it in?

As I previously stated, I believe the colors have much to do with which Vala choose them to come to ME. Alatar and Pallando : Oromë (Mighty Lord and great traveler)
Radagast : Yavanna (Lady of Earth; this would explain Rad's color of brown)
Gandalf : Manwë (Lord of the Gods and the air; possibly explaining the grey color only to return clad in white)
Saruman: Aulë (Lord over all substances that Arda is made; an explaination for Saruman's white to multicolored? Perhaps. For as Radagast guessed this could mean of his pureness until he was completely corrupted. The substances of earth are truly indeed multicolored)
Again these are all just speculations on my part, for still I see no reason that Alatar and Pallando should be clad in blue, unless it was to set them apart from the others who held very dull in variety. *Shrugs*

And what about Saruman the many colours? Saruman said that if you stretch the color of white you start to see many colors.
